Success stories of (some, not all the) students in 2018
- Student : Alex T. (Romania)
- Story : "I have just received my interview feedback from Keble College (including the MAT score). I was rejected at Keble and accepted at Jesus. In the MAT exam I achieved 89% which means (if I am not wrong) that I was in top 5 students this year. Thank you for everything you taught me and good luck with your future students."
- Our comments : Alex has finished the MAT course 2017 ahead of the class and scored 81, 82, 83 in the 3 mock exams. We had expected that Alex can gain 80+ in the real MAT exam.

Success stories of (some, not all the) students in 2016
- Student : H.E. (Dorset, UK)
- Story : "I've just received my STEP results: S, 1, S in I, II and III respectively. I'm delighted, and very grateful for all the help you have given me this year."
- Our comments : This year was especially successful, because every student aiming for Cambridge got S grades in STEP and a place at the preferred college.
- Student : M.S. (Yorkshire, UK)
- Story : "I am incredibly pleased to inform you that I obtained a grade S in both STEP II and STEP III! With these results, I will begin studying Mathematics at Cambridge in October! I also wanted to express how grateful I am for all of the tuition and help you have provided. The courses I have taken have been incredibly useful and comprehensive, and the feedback given on the homework problems has really helped me to improve my mathematical skills and present more rigorous proofs. Without your help, I do not think I could have obtained these results and I owe much of the success I have had in STEP to your courses; thank you."
- Our comments : Thank you for taking all 5 courses: MAT, Oxbridge and STEP I, II, III.
- Student : H.K. (Kazakhstan)
- Story : "I started taking this course halfway through, it greatly helped me become more confident with STEP mathematics, especially with topics such as Geometry and vectors in the complex plane which I was struggling with. I was able to get some of my practice questions marked by someone who was not my school teacher which gave me a second opinion on how I was performing. Even though I did not start in the beginning I still got access to all the course materials which helped me revise for topics I thought I understood well. Overall I got an S for both STEP II and III which was a pleasant feeling (I only needed and 1,1 for my Cambridge offer) and I am quite happy with the online course and I would recommend it to others who are in a similar position."
- Our comments : This example shows that a top grade S is possible in both STEP II and III even if you start a bit late.

Success stories of (some, not all the) students in 2015
- Student : Jiayun T. (China)
- Story : "I have achieved 4 A*s and got an unconditional offer at Imperial. But at last I choose University of Waterloo which is in Canada. Thanks again for your help on my preparation of MAT and Oxford interview as it helps lay a foundation for my current and future studies in mathematics. :)"
- Our comments : Thank you for highlighting the key value of the distance courses. The suggested coursework differs from schoolwork not only by the higher level of difficulty and not only by the much faster feedback, but most importantly by the rigorous approach of the tutors who are professional mathematicians with dozens of years of research experience after PhD.

Success stories of (some, not all the) students in 2014
- Student : Matthew S. (Newcastle, UK)
- Story : "Last year I participated in a master maths course to help me complete STEP 1 at the end of year 12. I found out on Thursday that I managed to gain entry into Oxford University for mathematics. I'm sure that my STEP grade helped influence their decision to accept me. Thank you very much for the help that you provided me, I really appreciate it."
- Our comments : This story supports our advice to take the STEP I exam earlier in year 12 if you are dreaming about any top university in the UK, not only Cambridge.

Success stories of (some, not all the) students in 2013
- Student : Bowen W. (Belfast, UK)
- Story : "Thanks again for your help with the step exams. I ended up getting 2 S's in step 2 and 3 with scores of 101 and 91 respectively. I achieved my A level requirements as well for Cambridge so I got accepted! I was quite nervous on results day because I didn't think I did too well in step 3. But the hard work paid off in the end!"
- Our comments : Bowen gained a 1st diploma for outstanding results in the maths competition at our summer school for year 12 students. However, Bowen didn't rest on his laurels and continued to work hard scoring 94% in the Oxbridge course, then 84.5% and 89% in our STEP II and III courses.
- Student : Michael P. (Middlesex, UK)
- Story : "I attended the Master Maths summer school in July 2012 and really enjoyed the experience of a week of university style life and maths tutorials. I applied to Oxford and then signed up for the Master Maths Oxbridge course which was really helpful in preparing me for the MAT exam. I am delighted to have been successful in my application to Oxford and look forward to starting as a maths undergraduate this October."
- Our comments : Michael gained a 2nd diploma for excellent results in the maths competition at our summer school for year 12 students. Warm congratulations on the Oxford success!
- Student : Christopher D. (London, UK)
- Story : "I am just informing you of my Oxford offer. I received the letter in the post today and it is subject to me attaining A* A* A in the summer. Obviously I am very pleased. Thank you very much for all your help in preparing me for the test and interview. It definitely made the whole process a lot easier and I think it greatly increased my chances."
- Our comments : Christopher obtained a 2nd diploma for excellent results in the maths competition at our summer school for year 12 students, gained 85% in our MAT course 2012, then 89% in the course for Oxbridge interviews and in September 2013 confirmed his place at Wadham College, Oxford.
- Student : Rowan S. (Yorkshire, UK)
- Story : "I was accepted to Warwick to study mathematics after achieving grade 1/1/1 in step 1, 2 and 3 and also achieving grade A* in Mathematics and Further Mathematics A level."
- Our comments : Rowan gained a 2nd diploma for excellent results in the maths competition at our summer school for year 12 students and then took one of the distance courses. Warm congratulations on the consistent STEP grades!
- Student : Vineet G. (Dubai)
- Story : "I'd like to thank you very much for all your support on each of the STEP exams. In June 2012, I took STEP I and II, and received grades S and 1 respectively; and in June 2013, I took STEP II and III, and achieved a 1 and an S, respectively, meeting my offer from Cambridge. Ythe courses were of great help. In particular, conducting the courses entirely via email allowed me to get all of its benefits sitting in Dubai! I really don't know where else I could have found the same kind of support with such convenience. Thank you once again!"
- Our comments : The modern technology can support students anywhere on the planet!
- Student : Leo L. (Cornwall, UK)
- Story : "I got 76 in STEP II and 110 in STEP III. I applied to Trinity but they put me into the Summer Pool and I got fished out by Homerton College. I'd like to thank you for your great help and support to my STEP revision."
- Our comments : Leo has completed our Oxbridge course in Autumn 2012, then our STEP II and III courses in Spring 2013. His scores 81% and 91% in our STEP courses secured him a grade 2 (almost 1 with the grade boundary 79) in STEP II and a high grade S in STEP III: 110 of 120 marks, while the boundary for a grade S was 85. Leo is the first student who has managed to enter Oxbridge from his community college.
- Student : Lucy T. (Essex, UK)
- Story : [E-mail in January 2013:] "At the time I thought my interviews went quite badly, because the interviewers kept having to give me pointers and I found the questions difficult, but I remembered the hints and comments from this course and it seems to have paid off! Thank you so much for all your help, I would recommend this course to anyone with a Maths Oxbridge interview." [Update in September 2013:] "Yes, I was accepted by Emmanuel College, Cambridge! I have already submitted my feedback online, but would like to say a personal thanks to Master Maths for all the help you have given me!"
- Our comments : We pass best tips from past students with real hands-on experience to all current students.
- Student : Beth E. (West Midlands, UK)
- Story : "During my gap year I received an unconditional offer from Cambridge to study Natural Science (Physical) at Downing College. I will be taking modules in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Evolution & Behaviour. At the moment I am interested in specialising in Cosmology and hope to work at CERN in the future. I definitely made the right decision to take a gap year. To me the beauty of mathematics is everywhere, so I don't feel I am 'missing out', so as to speak, by not studying pure mathematics at university. You may be pleased to hear that I got very positive feedback from the admissions tutors at Cambridge for my mathematics entrance test - particularly praising the clear and concise structure of my work - so thank you for your help in this."
- Our comments : Beth has completed our Oxbridge course in Autumn 2011 and gained a place at Cambridge later in Spring 2013. A rigorous training in pure mathematics can be a decisive advantage in applied areas.

Success stories of (some, not all the) students in 2012
- Student : Jake M. (Surrey, UK)
- Story : "I have received a confirmation from Warwick that they will take me on. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to take part in the course and am sure that my grade would have been much worse without it."
- Our comments : Jake completed our STEP I course 2012 and gained 79% on average for the homework. A well-deserved place at Warwick.
- Student : Tom H. (Berkshire, UK)
- Story : "I was offered a place at Cambridge this morning and am overjoyed. Having decided comparatively late on to study maths at Cambridge I was on a back foot compared to other students and needed to make a much greater improvement to be successful in the STEP exams. Even with help provided at my school I would never have achieved so much without this course. Your programme was really helpful. In particular, the very quick feedback and the mock exams which helped focus my efforts."
- Our comments : Tom started late, but completed both STEP II and III courses. Congratulations on a place at Cambridge!
- Student : Alex B. (Lincolnshire, UK)
- Story : "Thank you very much for your help (although I didn't hand in many homeworks), as I have received an offer from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford! I gained four a stars and therefore got my place."
- Our comments : Alex took our Oxbridge course 2011, gained the Oxford offer in December 2011 and sufficient A-level grades in August 2012. In July 2011 Alex also won a first diploma at our summer school for year 12 students.
- Student : Chloe M. (Gloucestershire, UK)
- Feedback : "The STEP I exam went really well, much better than the mock!! I managed to answer three full questions, and the fourth question I answered almost all of, just missing a bit at the end. So I was really pleased, and am hoping I got a grade 2. The courses will have been really good experience, and hopefully uni level maths won't be as big a shock as if I'd just studied a-levels and never seen STEP before. Imperial College my 1st choice offered me a place."
- Our comments : Chloe has completed our STEP I and II courses 2012 with the average score 83.8% for the homework.
- Student : Alex L. (London, UK)
- Story : "I am very pleased to inform you that I got an offer from St Hilda's college! The whole interview process was generally very enjoyable. Thanks a lot for all the help on the distance course and also on the the summer school, which made me really look forward to studying maths at university! At A-level I got A*A*A which is what I required. Very, very pleased!"
- Our comments : Alex completed our Oxbridge course 2011 with the average of 83.2% for the weekly homework. He gained the Oxford offer in December 2011 and sufficient A-level grades in August 2012. In July 2011 Alex also attended our summer school for year 12 students.
- Student : Joanna V. (Cambridge, UK)
- Story : "Thank you so much for helping me get the 1, 1 I needed to study Computer Science with Mathematics at Cambridge! The sessions really helped change my way of thinking, in a good way related to STEP! And the topics and homeworks were extremely useful, not only did they help prepare me for STEP but also filled in the holes from Maths and Further Maths A-Level. Furthermore the mocks were so useful! So that I wasn't too frightened entering the actual exam! Thank you so much!"
- Our comments : Joanna completed our three STEP courses in October 2011 - June 2012. She started from the average of 47% in our STEP I course. However, nearly fifty 1.5-hour online sessions throughout the year helped improve Joanna's average to 72% in our STEP II course and to 76% in our STEP III course. Serious achievements require serious efforts!
- Student : Joe L. (County Durham, UK)
- Story : "I am pleased to say that I have received an offer to study mathematics at Worcester College at Oxford. Thank you for your help in preparing me for the admissions test and interviews."
- Our comments : Joe completed our Oxbridge course 2011 with the average of 81.3% for the weekly homework. He gained the Oxford offer in December 2011 and sufficient A-level grades in August 2012. In July 2011 Joe also attended our summer school for year 12 students.

Success stories of (some, not all the) students in 2010-2011
- Student : Dylan E. (West Yorkshire, UK)
- Story : "I got a 2 in STEP II (58 marks) and a 2 in STEP III (60 marks) and have managed therefore to meet the requirements of my offer at Imperial College! I cannot thank you enough for the help you gave me with this as I feel it would have been unlikely that I could have passed either without it."
- Our comments : In 2010 - 2011 Dylan worked hard on our Oxbridge and STEP courses. In July 2010 Dylan also attended our summer school for year 12 students.
- Student : Eleanor D. (Birmingham, UK)
- Story : "I felt the topics covered were sufficient preparation - the actual maths behind the questions in my interviews was not very advanced, but just applied it in different ways. All the modified problems and solutions you gave were very clear. Solutions and feedback were detailed well."
- Our comments : Eleanor has started at Oxford in October 2011 after gaining 95% marks in our Oxbridge 2010 course and winning a first diploma at our summer school for year 12 students.
- Student : Pav S. (Bradford, UK)
- Story : "thank you for all your help on the course i took with you it was really helpful and definitely helped me with my style of thinking towards problems in mathematics and certainly helped me when it came to STEP questions =]"
- Our comments : Pav regularly e-mailed us his questions and secured a place at Warwick from October 2011. In July 2010 Pav attended our summer school for year 12 students.
- Student : Shaun W. (Hartlepool, UK)
- Story : "The STEP sessions were of enormous help to my maths and further maths (A* & A respectively), as they consolidated what i was learning in college, in addition to pushing further than they could teach me. The mock exams were also a very, very helpful part. I feel i did 'as well as i could possibly have done' in both STEP papers!"
- Our comments : Shaun worked hard and entered Cambridge in 2010. Our congratulations!
