## Enrol on your live course for the STEP II exam in June 2019

### STEP II course: notes, hints, web tutorials

• This course is for students taking the STEP II exam in June 2019. Cambridge University usually requires a grade 1 in both STEP II and III.
• How long? 12 weekly topics plus 4 mock exams, start at any time from December 2018. Each topic covers 4 multi-step problems with general hints and step-by-step hints.
• Notes (about 14-18 pages on each of 12 topics) form a large book of about 190 pages: topic 1 on pages 1-14, solution to homework 1 on page 15-17, topic 2 from page 18 etc.
• Every web tutorial has 4 quizzes (with randomised parameters) that you can try many times, you will also browse through step-by-step solutions, useful tips and review common mistakes.
• You will always get the next notes with our detailed feedback on your previous homework. You can choose your own pace and may complete the course in 8 weeks instead of 16.

### Marking homework and mock problems

• Homework: one long problem on each topic with our general hints and step-by-step hints given in the notes, e.g. first homework is Problem 1.4.
• In the extended version of the STEP II course, students also submit their solution to any extra problem, your extra homework on Topic 1 is Problem 1.1 or 1.2 or 1.3.
• No deadlines: our students choose to work through the topics in any order and submit their homework when they are ready, we always mark any late homework.
• Any long problem is marked as a mini-mock: full mark 20 as in a real STEP paper. The problems are similar to (and often harder than) STEP II exams 2006-2012.
• STEP II exam 2013 is covered in the 8 with gradual hints. 5×8 pure maths problems from STEP II 2014-18 are marked as 5 mocks (practice exams).
• The successful Cambridge candidates gained 75-90% on average for all homework. Even top students sometimes receive only 60% in one homework for unjustified steps. The highest score in this challenging STEP II courses across all years is 90%.
